WAMU Set to Complete Move by End of September

WAMU 88.5, a fixture at 4000 Brandywine Street, NW  for two decades, is moving to larger, more modern office and studio space at 4001 Connecticut Avenue.  The transition, which began in June, is expected to be complete by the end of September, according to Anne  S. Healy, Manager of Community Relations.  American University, which owns 4000 Brandywine Street, intends to relocate its School of Professional and Extended Studies (SPExS) to the office space.  SPExS runs 19 programs and courses for undergraduate, graduate and international students, including the Washington Semester Program that brings more than 400 students to DC each semester.  SPExS was formerly housed at the American University Tenley Campus, which currently is undergoing major renovation to become the new home of the Washington College of Law.
