November ANC-3E Agenda Released

Advisory Neighborhood Commission (ANC) 3E released its agenda for the November monthly meeting, taking place this Thursday at 7:30 p.m.  Neighbors – and probably commissioners as well – will be pleased to note that the agenda is less ambitious than recent meetings have been, perhaps indicating that this month’s meeting will break with tradition and end well before midnight.

In addition to the monthly update from the 2nd Police District, at the top of the agenda the ANC will consider approval of a small grant proposal for the Tenley WinterFest.  Grant funds would support the purchase of winter-themed banners intended to highlight both the festival and the Tenleytown community.  Based upon local support for the festival and discussion at the October meeting, commissioners are expected to grant the requested support.

Potentially more contentious, given national debates, may be a presentation on DC Health Link, the District’s insurance exchange under the Affordable Care Act.  Neighbors interested in learning more about the “on-line marketplace … for individuals, families, and small business owners in the District of Columbia to shop, compare, and select health insurance” should definitely plan to attend the ANC meeting.
