The Tenleytown community stepped up in a big way this weekend, donating thousands of baby care items as part of the Baby Pantry Drive at Whole Foods Market Tenleytown.

DC Diaper Bank collected nearly 2,200 diapers and Pull-ups, 1,060 wipes, and 580 jars and pouches of baby food to benefit families in need in the DC metro area. The May 17 event also garnered thermometers, nursing pads, sleepsacks, baby shampoo, formula, and board books.

Residents who are interested in donating to the Baby Pantry program, but missed this Saturday’s event, can leave items at the DC Diaper Bank collection bin at 4600 Yuma Street, NW.
