The Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs (DCRA) issued Douglas Development Corporation a building permit for the Tenley View project on August 7 – and not a moment too soon. Douglas Development released the above photograph at the end of last month showing that sheeting and shoring at the site was near completion, and the construction project was ready to enter its next phase.

While the corner of Wisconsin Avenue and Brandywine Street has already seen significant changes as construction workers completed interior demolition of the existing building, passersby will now see the new residential and retail space begin to take shape over the next several months.

Tenley View will consist of 60 rental units on five levels, plus retail space on the ground and basement levels. While no parking will be offered, there will be 60 bicycle spaces for residential tenants and 12 for retail employees, as well as a slew of amenities and incentives to foster a car-free lifestyle for those who live and work at Tenley View.

The project is scheduled for completion in the fall of 2015.
