Catania, Schwartz to Hold Community Meetings

Washington, DC’s candidates for mayor are in full campaign mode with the election just 10 weeks away. Unlike past years, this November’s mayoral election looks to be a competitive one. Here are a few upcoming events that can help residents learn more about the candidates and/or get involved supporting their choice for mayor:

The David Catania for Mayor campaign invites residents to attend two upcoming community meetings to learn more about their candidate and opportunities to volunteer with the campaign. The first will be held this Wednesday, August 27 at 6:30 p.m. at the Jetties in Palisades, 1609 Foxhall Road NW. Those interested can sign up online to attend. A second event will be held on Wednesday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. at a private residence located at 4740 Connecticut Avenue, NW. Residents interested in attending this meting can also sign up online.

Republican candidate Carol Schwartz’s campaign will also hold a meet-and-greet this week on Wednesday, August 27 at 1:30 p.m. The event will be held at a private residence at 5420 Connecticut Avenue, NW. For more information and to sign up to attend, contact Andre Strickland at 202-809-1538.

The Muriel Bowser campaign does not have any meet-and-greets or public volunteer events currently scheduled for Ward 3. However, Ward 3 Regional Field Director Ben Case reminds voters that the campaign welcomes volunteers to stop by the campaign headquarters, 4300 Georgia Avenue, NW, any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.


  • The David Catania volunteer meetings mentioned above are informational for people who would want to volunteer on the campaign. These meetings are hosted by volunteers, and to be clear, David Catania will not be on premises. We do hope that volunteers come out and join our movement.
