WMATA Holds Hearings on New Tenleytown Route
As the Washington Post reported on Monday, WMATA is convening public hearings to solicit feedback on proposed revisions to select Metrobus routes, including the 96 route that runs through Tenleytown.
WMATA proposes to create a new 98 route that would run from the Tenleytown/AU Metro Station to the U Street Metro Station, along the current 96 route. The revised 96 bus route would begin at U Street and travel to the Capitol Heights Station.
Under the goal of improving service, WMATA intends for buses along the 98 route to run every 20 minutes during peak hours and every 30 minutes during off peak hours.
