Escapee Kenneth Clayton Recaptured
Shortly after 3:00 p.m. today, the Metropolitan Police Department announced that Kenneth Clayton, who fled custody from a psychiatric facility in Tenleytown on Monday, had been recaptured by the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force.
The Task Force, which is a division of the U.S. Marshals Service that locates and apprehends the most violent and dangerous fugitives in the greater Metro area, arrested Clayton in Manassas, Virginia. No other details of the arrest were provided.
Clayton escaped from the Psychiatric Institute of Washington, located at 4228 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, at 10:40 a.m. on Monday, November 3. He was under arrest for assaulting a police officer, possession of unregistered ammunition, and being a fugitive from justice.
