GDS Launches eNewsletter on Campus Plan

GeorgetownDaySchool-HighSchool

As Georgetown Day School continues to consider how its expanded campus will take shape, the school launched a new online newsletter this month to keep the Tenleytown community informed about its planning process.

The inaugural issue of GDS Connection did not offer much new information beyond what head of school Russell Shaw presented in community meetings in November and December of last year. During the next six weeks, GDS and the consulting firm Wonder by Design will work to determine how the school can incorporate its educational programming priorities into a land use plan for the Safeway and Euro Motorcars Volvo properties it purchased in June 2014. Toward the end of that period, GDS will convene another community meeting to share its plans. Between now and then, residents can provide input or register concerns with the school by emailing TalktoGDS@gds.org.

In addition to campus planning updates, the monthly newsletter will also contain information on events at GDS that are open to the broader community.

Those interested in subscribing to GDS Connection can sign up by emailing TalktoGDS@gds.org.
