Saturday Morning Road Closures for Tenley Tiger Run
The inaugural Tenley Tiger Run begins at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 28. The 5K and 2.5K races start in front of the Wilson High School auditorium on Chesapeake Street and proceed along Fort Reno into the nearby neighborhood. Runners in the 2.5K complete one lap on the course, while those competing in the 5K complete two laps, before finishing back at the school.
A Fun Run will take place immediately following the races, with kids – and parents – completing a loop in front of Wilson High School.
To ensure the safety of the runners several streets in the immediate vicinity will be closed starting an hour before the race. Streets are expected to reopen by noon at the latest, though race organizers hope to have the course clear by closer to 11:00 a.m.
The Metropolitan Police Department issued the following information on street closures for the race. Those who live or park on affected streets are encouraged to plan ahead as the police will not allow you to move your car until the roads are reopened.

These street closings are subject to change without notice based upon unanticipated events and prevailing conditions.
