Tenleytown Dining Deals at Your Fingertips
Love to eat out at your favorite neighborhood restaurants, but hate paying full price? Want to try a new spot, but you aren’t sure it’s worth it? The Spotluck dining app may have the solution to your dining dilemmas.
Spotluck groups restaurants in specific neighborhoods – or hubs – offering discounts at participating establishments. Hubs allow residents or visitors in a neighborhood to explore restaurant options, from old favorites to new spots they might not have tried yet. Users can spin a virtual wheel to discover what discounts are being offered, typically at least 10% off your meal, and potentially win big with up to a 25% discount at the Spotluck hotspot of the day.
Since we first introduced Spotluck to the Tenleytown, D.C. community, the free smart phone dining app has nearly doubled the number of participating restaurants, growing to 198 across 16 neighborhood hubs in the D.C. metro area. Our own Tenleytown-Friendship Heights hub is growing, too – both in the number of restaurants, as well as the geographic boundary Spotluck uses to define the area. The hub includes namesakes Tenleytown and Friendship Heights (on both sides of the D.C.-Maryland border), but also encompasses parts of Chevy Chase and Wakefield.
Just recently new Tenleytown restaurant Tartufo joined the app, along with Blue 44 at Connecticut Avenue and Livingston Street and Jake’s American Grill on Connecticut Avenue near Fessenden Street. These three join nine other restaurants in our local hub: Alfio’s, Angelico Pizzeria, Bread & Salt, Cafe of India, Clyde’s of Chevy Chase, Le Chat Noir, Potomac Pizza, Satay Club, and Tanad Thai.
Tenleytown-Friendship Heights is one of eight D.C. hubs, which include Adams Morgan, Chinatown, Cleveland Park, Dupont Circle, Georgetown, H Street, and the U Street Corridor. Half of Spotluck’s participating restaurants are in the District. Users of the app have access to dining specials in all of Spotluck’s neighborhood hubs in the D.C. metro area.
