In case you missed them, here are a few stories we came across this week covering the greater Tenleytown area that we thought were worth a second look:

  • It’s official. The Fannie Mae headquarters on Wisconsin Avenue is for sale, along with two other properties owned by the mortgage giant. The Washington Business Journal posits that the Sidwell Friends School might make a bid for the property. However, the school’s recent purchase of The Washington Home makes that unlikely, as does its statement on the school website that the “property was considered, but deemed far too large for the School’s needs.” ~ Let the competition begin: Fannie Mae’s heaquarters officially on the market
  • The Wilson Crew team celebrates 30 years of rowing on the Potomac. In honor of the milestone WUSA 9 profiles the team, which exemplifies leadership both on and off the water. Interested in joining the current roster of rowers? The crew team will host a free Learn to Row session for students the week of November 2. ~ Wilson crew: dear to the old and the new
